Keynote Speaking

IHHP’s founding partners, Bill Benjamin and JP Pawliw-Fry are world-renowned keynote speakers. Their keynote speaking topics cover many of the most important skills needed in today’s changing workplace. These keynotes each explain why the skills discussed are essential today and into the future, what the brain science and/or biology behind applying the skill is, and how to apply those skills.

Our topics include:

How emotional intelligence is essential to building the agile, engaged workforces needed in the workplace of the future.

How mindfulness in leadership can help teams navigate today’s complex demands.

How to have ”Last 8% Conversations” that discuss the critical things we often avoid because they are uncomfortable and difficult to talk about.

Why emotional intelligence is the key to successful change efforts and how to avoid missing out on the human elements necessary to get every individual aligned with change.

What pressure does to us and how to perform under pressure by applying the techniques used by the world’s greatest leaders and Olympic and professional athletes.

What the brain science is behind building a culture that can navigate disruption and what are the techniques needed to create it.

His work with leaders from Fortune 500 companies such as Goldman Sachs, Intel, Coca-Cola and Johnson & Johnson, as well as the US Marines, Olympic athletes and NBA and NFL teams has provided him with considerable opportunities to test his science based tools in environments of high pressure. “Best keynote presentation I have been to in years! Very different than the usual: extremely interesting and powerful – yet highly entertaining. It is not often I hear someone who can really ‘put it together’.”
-Ernst & Young

As a provocative and highly captivating speaker and thought leader, JP brings engaging stories and a lot of fun to every keynote. He challenges groups to think differently about human behavior and leadership and how to manage the pressure that is overtaking so many organizations and individuals today. JP provides real tools to help teams leverage the power of the science of emotional intelligence to embrace pressure and manage the disruption and challenge they are facing.

“I do not say this lightly, the most powerful keynote I have ever heard. JP was charged with setting the tone for the rest of the week, he clearly over-delivered.”-Pfizer

JP is the co-author of the New York Times best seller, Performing Under Pressure: The Science of Doing Your Best When it Matters Most, published in 65 countries with multiple translations.

“Fantastic! Very leading edge thinking. JP has huge energy and passion. Our leadership team couldn’t get enough of him – I could listen to him all day!”–IBM

When he is not travelling the globe, JP can be found reading, out dancing, or cherishing time with family. It is no coincidence that he loves working with professional and Olympic athletes as he is himself an avid and enthusiastic athlete. JP loves to participate in a variety of sports including running, volleyball, hockey, and swimming and considers himself a ‘professional’ rugby fan.

“Simply the best program we have ever heard – critical information that will make a difference.”– US Navy

Bill Benjamin
As a math and computer science guy, Bill discovered the power of managing emotions while he was working in the technology industry. Bill’s experience in technology and sales gives him real-world experience in the types of challenges that organizations face today. His analytical background in math and computer science drives him to take a practical and scientific approach to helping people understand how the brain responds under pressure, and how that can help increase leadership and performance.

At the risk of repeating myself several times, your presentation (content, style, slides, exercises, etc.) was one of the best I’ve seen in all of my years of training and seeing other professionals train. I wish we had your presentation videotaped to show as a role model of how to give a truly engaging and learning presentation.” – M. Spool, Ph.D., Management Development Solutions

Bill has an authentic approach that resonates with the audience and especially with those that might be typically resistant to the important relationship between ‘soft-skills’ and exceptional leadership. A natural storyteller, he balances anecdotes with science and research to engage all types of participants. When he is not speaking, Bill spends time working with senior leaders and their teams at Fortune 500 companies helping them overcome the barriers that often hold them back from reaching their full potential.

“You really kept everyone’s attention with your great stories and analogies. Your passion for what you do is refreshing. Thank you for making the conference a truly inspiring event.” – Coca-Cola

Bill loves to write and contributed to the New York Times and Amazon bestselling book, Performing Under Pressure: The Science of Doing Your Best When it Matters Most, co-authored by IHHP’s JP Pawliw-Fry and published in 65 countries with multiple translations. Bill is also a regular contributor to CEO magazine, Training Magazine, as well as other leadership publications.

“This was an insightful and practical session. I liked the way you had us practice the strategies rather than just telling us about them. That way, I’ll actually remember it!” – Intel Corporation

Bill is originally from Canada and moved to New York City in the nineties. He now calls Chicago home and it is here you will find him indulging in his other passions – his family, scotch, and cycling.
