Testimonial

"EI Coaching has assisted with my communication skills dramatically.  It has given me a deeper understanding of the physiological changes that happen after certain triggers of both engaged parties. Recognizing the power of statements versus questions and how to use them appropriately has also been a great tool.  I have a better understanding of myself which has allowed me to be more self-aware during triggered or hijacked states thus enabling me to self manage better. The EI Leadership Course is great and I highly recommend the coaching sessions to everyone after the course. I found the coaching sessions allowed me to exercise with guidance what we learned in class and apply them to real world scenarios." Jacquie Moore, Program & Coaching Participant

 Testimonial

"Although Blair was a great instructor, it is not until you leave class and actually put the concepts into practice that you realize what deficiencies remain in your understanding of EQ. By working through real-life scenarios on a monthly basis, my understanding of the concepts and my ability to utilize the course ... surged ahead. The coaching sessions were incredibly beneficial, so much so, that I will be continuing them on an ongoing basis."

Y. Bakas, Summer/09

IHHP Research Update - White Paper Release
changeAll Change is PersonalDr. JP Pawliw-Fry

IHHP's latest white paper, "All Change is Personal - Why Most Change Efforts Fail and What to Do About It", is now available for download.

Dr. JP Pawliw-Fry's white paper examines:

1. Why two out of three organizational change initiatives fail;

2. The difference between the 'program' and the 'operating system' of change and how an employee's 'operating system' can sabotage even the best thought out change 'program', and

3. What leaders can do to help an employee's operating system deal more effectively with change - in order to successfully initiate, implement and sustain change over the short and long term.

Want to Manage Daily Challenges Better? Try Coaching!

The Missing Piece
One of our clients conducted a study on the value of coaching not too long ago.  Their people were surveyed right after attending our two-day Emotional Intelligence training program, then again four months later after receiving six one-on-one coaching sessions.  Several behavioral indicators showed as improved, but this one was key:

"When faced with challenging situations, 29% of the respondents reported that they used the EQ tools often or very often before the coaching program. After the coaching program, 79% said they used the tools often and very often when faced with challenging situations."

Now that's impressive!  After receiving training and personal coaching sessions, almost 80% of these employees were now successfully employing IHHP's EI tools - like not 'jumping to judgment' but instead, seeking more information - to better manage and overcome day-to-day challenges in their professional and personal lives.  Imagine how your company would look if these were your employees!
